There is something almost meditative in cooking for me. The sometimes overpowering noise of daily life slowly fades away, my heartbeat slows, my thoughts clear, and I can focus solely on the cooking.
Even with just one child at home to contend with, life gets so incredibly busy. My home needs simple, fast, and healthy foods to end our days with.
I avoid processed foods as much as possible and try to use whole foods that give my family lasting nutrition and energy. For the most part, that is what you will find here.
One of my goals last year was to try at least one new recipe each week, mainly found on my favorite site, Pinterest. This fun goal has made it on my list again this year and now that I have this spiffy new blog, I’ll share them (as well as some tried and true family favorites) so you and your family can enjoy them too!
